The brief was to convert the fridge store corridor area into a warm, fun social space for customers and for special events. Tree wallpaper, monkeys, an LED night sky ceiling, newly isntalled wood panelling and fireplace and colourful stool seating create a magical setting for the stars of the shop – the ever changing cakes and cake displays. This was a small, fun project on a tight budget – from fridge store to the Cake Hole, Konditor and Cook in Waterloo.

Konditor & Cook

A Victorian cottage from the 1800s, which required a lot of structural reinforcing due to its age. This was an unusual project to work on, reusing materials and integrating existing objects, recycling and retaining the character without compromising on the client’s distinctive taste and personality.
‘I used Daniela to project manage and design what turned out to be a rather extensive refurbishment of my end of terrace cottage.
She sourced the main builder and most ancillary trades, managing their work while I was abroad and on my return. I am very happy with the eventual result.
Yes I would use her again’

This project was wonderful to work on and incorporated many things close to my heart, including the clients’ sensibility towards environmental matters, sustainability and purity of material. The brief was to use environmentally sensitive materials, including reclaimed tiles, a recycled paper worktop, a custom made ply stained kitchen with patinated brass. We worked with suppliers and manufacturers and all details were custom made. The process from start to finish was thoroughly enjoyable and resulted in a totally unique but beautiful and practical space.
‘I found Daniela to have a rare and welcome quality among designers, modestly holding back the ego in order to guide me towards a result that felt like my own but which I could never have achieved without her experience, wisdom and great taste.’

This house refurbishment was done on one of the strictest budgets I have ever worked on, and the clients led this project with the aim of creating a family home as fast as possible. Space planning was the most important detail here.
Daniela has a fantastic attention to detail and really cares about the end result for her client.  She came up with many innovative ideas during her project management of our house renovation all of which enhanced the finished look of our home.  We would highly recommend Daniela’s skills in interior design and project management.

The client was very clear about what they required and the aim was to make the space feel bigger, to create a practical space with as much storage as possible and with finishes built to last.
‘Daniela worked for me a dark and cluttered kitchen into a very nice and bright space, with lots of cupboards and storage. She spent a lot of time researching the colour scheme I liked, making sure all the warm colours matched and complemented each other. Her attention to detail was wonderful and she is very committed to her projects, wanting what is best for her clients’ needs.’

The small budget decoration brief of this tiny project was to inject some added value and personality to a small box flat in E1. The client was very open to explore ideas and suggestions on colours and fabrics.
‘It was clear to me from our first meeting that Daniela could help me turn our plain, boxy London apartment into a beautiful, comfortable home. Her attention to detail ensured that the finish was spotless. I enjoyed working with Daniela very much. She has a collaborative style; and, encouraged me to explore my ideas, setting out the pros & cons, and came up with positive solutions to any problems we had.  I can whole heartedly recommend Daniela & London Interiors Shopping.’

The brief was to convert a A dull, reception area for a tv company into a welcoming space, which would be used to display their merchandise and greet clients. This was a very tight budget and worked very well in the end.

‘Daniela transformed our company’s tired, cluttered, uninspiring reception area into a bright, colourful, welcoming space with inexpensive solutions. She is approachable, collaborative, inventive and with fantastic taste. I highly recommend her for any size of job, from small domestic or business situations to larger design challenges.’
